申请非移民的签证的一般的信息：
If you live or work in the Beijing Cons'ular Dis'trict and intend' to engage' in touu*'rist ac`tiv'ities, attend' an ed`uca'tional institu'tion, attend' mee'tings or con'ferences, or work tem'porarily in the Uni'ted States, you may apply' for a vi'sa at the U.S. Em'bassy in Beijing.
您如果居住或工作的地方属于北京领事馆的领事区，并打算在美国从事旅游，学习活动，参加会议或谈判，或在美短期工作，您可以在美国驻华大使馆申请签证。
The Beijing Cons'ular Dis'trict comprise's Beijing, Tianjin, Xinjiang, Qinghai, Gansu, Shaanxi, Ningxia, Shanxi, Inner Mon`go'lia, Hebei, Henan, Shandong, Hubei, Hunan or Jiangxi.

In or'der to improve' ser'vice to our cus'tomers, the U.S. Em'bassy, in co`op`era'tion with CITIC Indus'tri'al Bank, has im'plemented a drop-off vi'sa ap`plica'tion sys'tem for repeat' trav'elers to the Uni'ted States.
为改进服务，美国使馆与中信实业银行合作，启用免面谈签证申请服务，该服务适用于曾去过美国的签证申请人。
Trav'elers el'igible for this sys'tem are a'ble to drop off their ap`plica'tion at an'y par`tic'ipa`ting CITIC bank bra'nch in Beijing, Qingdao, Jinan, Zhengzhou, Sahnghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Suzhou, Wuhan or Tianjin and la'ter pick up their vi'sa at the same bra'nch They do not need to appear' at the U.S. Em'bassy for an in'terview`.
凡符合该服务条件的旅行者可在北京、青岛、济南、郑州、上海、南京、杭州、苏州、武汉或天津的任何一个中信实业银行分支机构递交签证申请，并于晚些时候在同一分支机构领取签证，而不必进行面谈。

In or'der to afford' Ame'rican cit'izens an op`portu'nity to speak direc'tly with a con'sular of'ficer, the Vi'sa U'nit will make an of'ficer avai'lable Mon'day, Wedn'esday, and Fri'day a`fternoons' from 4PM to 5PM.

PRC cit'izens trav'eling to the U`ni'ted States must have a val'id U.S. vi'sa.

There are two pri'mary types of U.S. vi'sas, im'mi'grant and non-im'mi'grant.
美国签证主要分为两大类:移民签证和非移民签证。
Im'mi'grant vi'sas are iss'ue`d to those who intend' to reside' per'manently in the U`ni'ted States ('green card' ho'lders).
移民签证是签发给想要永久居住在美国的人（即“绿卡”持有人）。
Un'der U.S. law, im'mi'grant vi'sas are gen'erally reserve'd for per'sons who are close rel'atives ei'ther of U.
